The PreK Class is designed for children turning 5 in the fall and winter months and for those children that would benefit from another year of preschool before kindergarten.
Each week a letter will be introduced. Many of the activities during the week will focus on the sounds the letter makes. We teach pre-reading skills. The children will learn sight words and sign language. Every week, the children will have math or science lessons. On Mondays, the class will explore their Weekly Readers and every child has an alphabet workbook. They will learn to recognize and write the alphabet. We have show and tell every week.
We want every child to love school and be excited about learning. We strive to have each child ready for kindergarten.
The staff ratio is one to five. This allows teachers to pay attention to the child's individual needs.
