Hello! I am very excited to work with you and your family in my 8th year as the Director of Great Beginnings Preschool. I am also looking forward to teaching Music again this year. This is my dream job!

My husband Eric and I have been married 17 years and have four wonderful energetic sons: Wyatt, 16; Sawyer, 15; Colt, 12 and Trevor turns 11 at the end of August.

I have been an active member of Leesburg UMC for many years, singing in the Praise Band and acting as Coordinator for the church nursery. I also taught 4-year-old Sunday school for 6 years. Leading Music for LUMC’s VBS is, by far, my favorite!

Our family has lived in Leesburg for the past 14 years but I was born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. I attended Kent State University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree. After marrying my husband, we moved to North Carolina where he deployed to Iraq with the Marine Corps and I directed a preschool in a local Lutheran Church and taught Music. After leaving North Carolina and the Marine Corps for civilian life, we settled here in Leesburg. I really enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and volunteering at Leesburg UMC and my sons’ school, but I began to miss teaching. In 2013, I was elated to get back in the classroom! My first 2 years at Great Beginnings, I had the privilege of teaching in our 2-year-old Monkey Room. I love working with kids and I am so proud to be part of Great Beginnings and Leesburg UMC.

In my free time, I enjoy knitting and attempting to garden. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and sons. We love playing games and watching movies.

I’m looking forward to another fantastic year with our talented Staff and truly amazing students and their families.
